Rebecca completed her osteopathic qualification at Victoria University which requires five years of full time study.This includes a Bachelor in Clinical Sciences and a Masters in Osteopathy.
Rebecca has a keen interest in the treatment of headaches, pelvic girdle pain and peripheral joint pain (ie elbow, knee). She also believes and likes to promote patient's overall well-being and good health through diet, exercise, stretches and strengthening programs. She believes this will help optimise long-term health and pain relief.
Rebecca also competed a Graduate Diploma in Animal Chiropractics which is undertaken at RMIT as a two year degree. Due to her history with horse riding from a young age, Rebecca understands the importance of pet care and endeavors to deliver pain relief for our beloved canines and equines in order to give them the same relief we get from our aches and pains.
Rebecca is a member of the Australian Osteopathic Association and the Australian Veterinary Chiropractic Association.
Dr Elizabeth Yacoub

Elizabeth graduated from Victoria University and has worked at several clinics before Total Balance allowing her to further her knowledge and experience. She is enthusiastic and passionate about Osteopathy and how it can help you achieve a better quality of life.
Elizabeth works in close collaberation with all practitioners at Total Balance to deliver gentle, consistent and effective patient care.
She successfully treats not only Back and Neck injuries but a broad range of musculoskeletal conditions in both adults and children. She is also experienced in assisting women with pregnancy related issues. Elizabeth also has further training in Trigger Point Dry Needling (TPDN), a modality of acupuncture and is also very experienced in sucessfully delivering and teaching Clinical Pilates.
Elizabeth uses a wide range of Osteopathic techniques during her treatments, which consist of manual therapy such as mobilisation, manipulation, articulation soft tissue massage and traction. She may also use Clinical Pilates or TPDN during her treatment sessions. Elizabeth strongly believes in proper management and prevention of her patients conditions and will therefore always provide a detailed home exercise rehabilitation program and/or ergonomic advice or intervention. Elizabeth enjoys treating children and adults of all ages, pregnant women, various chronic and acute medical condition, sporting injuries and much more.

Dr Emma Bird

Emma is also a graduate from Victoria University who completed her osteopathic qualification along with her Masters degree.
Emma believes that Osteopathy provides a unique approach to treating musculoskeletal complaints that affect people of all ages in their day to day lives, from sporting injuries to problems associated with working at a desk and general ‘wear and tear’. She has an interest in helping and improving the health of patients who are suffering from long term, chronic pain. This can include chronic spinal pain related to trauma, arthritis, disc pain and headaches such as migraine and tension headaches. Her treatments try to encompass a ‘holistic’ approach, taking into consideration life style factors, medication, other health issues (such as IBS, chronic fatigue etc), fitness and age.
Emma has a keen interest in the treatment of acute and sports related injuries. She also treats and rehabilitates a variety of non-sporting related injuries including ankle sprains, shoulder strains and knee sprains. She enjoys utilising a wide variety of techniques in her practice including streatching, myofascial release and manipulation. Emma has the ability to tailor treatment to each individual as she understands all patients and their complaints are different and require different care.
Emma is also member of the Australian Osteopathic Association.
Tanya Nangle
Remedial Massage Therapist

Tanya has been a massage therapist for over seven years and recently joined the team at Total Balance Healthcare. She has extensive experience with a variety of techniques including deep tissue, myofascial release, trigger point therapy and relaxation. She also incorporates shiatsu, chinese cupping and reflexology into her massage treatments.
Tanya has the experience and ability to change and modify treatments techniques to suit individual specific needs. She can deliver many types of massage treatments including deep tissue, sports, realaxation and pregnancy.
Tanya has always worked closely alongside osteopaths providing her with a good avenue for referral and communication between patients and practitioners. This allows for continuity of patient treatments which maximises patient care.
Tanya is a member of the AAMT.
