At Total Balance Healthcare, we have further trained Osteopaths with a keen clinical interest in the treatment of babies, particularly following birth and in their first year of life. Our osteopaths have undertaken specific training to ensure that they are up to date with current research and information.

Clinical experience with babies is invaluable and important. At Total Balance, we believe this is necessary when it comes to the management of infants. For this reason, we have an established internal program at Total Balance Healthcare requiring all Practitioners that treat and manage babies to complete. This allows our practitioners to gain at least two years of valuable, supervised experience in observation, assessment and treatment before being able to consult with infants.

Our Osteopaths specifically look to address the musculoskeletal restrictions that can occur in your child.

Our Osteopaths have formed close relationships and an ongoing referral base amongst many local Maternal Child and Health Nurses, Midwives, Lactation Consultants, Paediatricians, Obstetricians and Dentists who specialize in tongue tie frenectomy. Referral and liaising with these practitioners is common to allow the best care for your child.

As Osteopaths, we recognize the particular stresses on the body children experience as they grow from babies to teenagers. Musculoskeletal restrictions in children can be treated in an effort to assist with achieving improved health for your child. Common conditions that may be been in conjunction with musculoskeletal restrictions include: postural dysfunction, falls, sporting injuries and congenital conditions relating to Sever’s disease, Osgood Schlatter’s and hip dysfunction.
